Day 4 : Goodbye Sydney : Paddy 's Market & Hello Melbourne -Crown Casino

Journal Entry 191

Day 4 was more relaxing compared to the first two days. We had the luxury of waking up late that day as our flight to Melbourne was in the afternoon. Lunch was on our own and therefore we had a heavy breakfast that morning. Done with breakfast, off we went to Market City (Paddy's Market) to get some souvenirs. It was basically within walking distance from the hotel and as such, we get more time at the market. Yippie !!!

Felt a bit hungry and had small bites. With lunch done, we were then taken to the Sydney Airport for our flight to Melbourne. It took about an hr before we reached Melbourne where our handsome tour guide took us for 'makan' .  Surprise ! Surprise ! Surprise ~~ dinner was Chinese food again and this time, it was at Melbourne Chinatown. Sigh, eat until 'meluat' " already (. Can't believe that I did not have any western food in Australia ~ hahaha !!!

With dinner - as all of us were pretty tired and exhausted - our handsome tour guide then dropped us at our hotel to rest and called it a night..so called :)

Checked in and unpacked and out we went again. It was about 8pm and we decided to sneak out with our tour group. It was a Saturday night, as such we took the opportunity to check out the night life in Melbourne. Strolled along Collins Street and went on to Crown Casino which was located at the South bank of the Yarra river. I must say that the place was really big & the crowd was massive that day !

As the casino was too crowded, we went out to the promenade instead (along Yarra River). The place is full of vibe and is definitely as great hang out spot for the locals. Well,  we joined in the fun as and got ourselves some gelatos and ice-cream !! Simply splendid - having ice cream on a cold weather and guess what, it won't melt ! We actually 'lepak' there for about an hour or so before we walked back to our hotel .

One of eight towers that shoot gas flames - every hr from 9pm to midnight - nice fire display - warm feeling esp the cold weather in Melbourne that night

Hmm, do we called them Broadway girls ?

Gelatos and Ice Cream anyone ??

Yummy !!

The hubby and I sharing a cone - two scoops cost AUD 6.90

and lastly, a 'kebab' treat or supper before we called it a night !
