Sorry for the long absence :(
Again, same old excuse with tonnes of housework to do and housekeeping. Wonder when will all of this end ? Also, had been sleeping and hibernating lately - so indirectly I became 'pun tuah'. Anyways, hubby just bought me a new mini...hahahahah !! Glad he did that cos now I don't have to 'rebut' the damn computer box with him.....he can play all his WOW all nite and day cos I have the mini - MINE ..ALL MINE !!!
So, back to my Beijing trip - Day 3 to Day 4
DAY 3 :- JADE FACTORY, MING TOMB & GREAT WALL
Well, after Day 2, Day 3 was more of a trip to the outskirt of Beijing. We have covered the city so now it will be the outer ring road. The ppl in China panggil their 'jalan' - the ring road - er dunno why - but heck follow their say lor. So, since we follow tour-hor, factory visits are always a must - norm in all tours - only one reason - so that the local tour guide get some 'kopi duit or tips'
So, Jade factory was our first venue for Day 3 followed by the Ming tomb. We did not take any photos there as the local tour guide say better not - as a respect to the emperor and the dead. Not so nice..you know..she advised. She reminded us that we are entering the 'Ying' part of the world (bad chi) and us being 'YANG' (good chi)- it would only be proper if due respect were being given to both sides. Basically, some cerita - the tomb was made for the emperor and his empress and one for the 'maharani' (the emperor's mother). Made when the emperor was only 25 yrs old and he passed away when he was 60 plus. For more details, can visit wikipedia-la- dunno much about the history.
After Ming tomb, we headed for for the 'GREAT WALL of CHINA' for some afternoon exercise ! As one of the seven wonders of the world, The Great Wall was indeed an icon/symbol of China. No Great Wall = No China. So, upon arriving - first of all, we were greeted by the 'long wall'. It was so long that it stretches thru different provinces and this indirectly UNITES China. There is nothing very particular about the bricks and so forth la - cos restore already mah... I guess it all boils down to the architecture and magnitude of the 'Wall'. Wonderful isn't it ? Since we were there, Miss Chin took the chance to climb a bit ler to the 1st station whereas hubby went u to the 3rd station...didn't know he was so fit and strong !

Sorry, it was pretty foggy that day...:(
After the walk, it was lunch time. Hahaha...when you go for tour - very shiok cos we are like emperor and empress..only eat, sleep and enjoy..that's it..luxuries of life - isn't it ? Anyway, lunch was at Golden Palace rest- NOT our Palace of the Golden Horses in KL...we went there for local Char Chien Mein - one of the delicacies you can find in DRAGON I...in China - you get it everywhere.
Char Chien Mein
After eat like a pig, time to see show ..hahhaa..We had a chance to catch a glimpse of the 'Thousand Hand Bodhisattva (Guan Yin) dance. Wonderful movements and co-ordination of the hands and lovely dancing stance from the acrobats group. I think it was an hr show. Some photos

After invading the outskirt of China, it was a long journey back to the city. We headed to a local medicine shop - Bao Tze Tang and thereafter dinner at a local Chinese store. At night, we had a chance to catch a glimpse of China's nightlife in Beijing @ Bar street which also located at the Embassy road like in KL.

DAY FOUR - SUMMER PALACE, BEIJING ZOO, CAPITAL MUSEUM and CHENGDE
Day 4 was more of an outskirt excursion as we had to travel to Chengde's mountain resort. It was said that both Summer Palace and the Mountain resort in Chengde was the getaway place during the hot summer. Summer Palace was built by Empress Xi Ci and for Mountain Resort, it was built by Emperor Xi Long from the Ming Dynasty (2 generations earlier then Xi Ci).
We started with Summer Palace first
Summer Palace - where Empress dowager Xi Chi rest and work during summer. Hope my history is right..kekekek. This is where the Chinese movies were being made...Er....the scenery from the movies were much nicer compared to real life..i think added effects !
Sweet Potato

Next on the list was to meet Kungfu Panda. Miss Chin had not seen a panda before so it was quite a big affair to see a real one. Each time, I only had a chance to see it on TV and magazines - that's all. However, once seen - nothing special also la...the panda was so lazy - their fav past time same like me also - Hibernation & Eat !!
BEIJING ZOO - Panda bear
Beijing Zoo Entrance
After visiting Panda bear, we eat again - this time at a Brazillian BBQ restaurant- heard that it was alike to Mongolian food - I wonder why ! The food was a bit weird so, indirectly we didn't really had a lot- very different from Jap and Malaysian food . It was served buffet style.
After lunch, we stop by at the Capital Museum where China's histories and artifacts were being kept. All the Chinawares and calligraphy during the war and ancient times can be found there. Hundreds of excavations were being preserved as well.
All done, we started our 3 hrs trip to Chengde - to see the Mountain Resort(only famous during the Ming dynasty )and the Little Patola (built based on Lhasa temple in Tibet)- adoption of Buddhism.
On our way to Chengde, we saw this....ONLY CAN BE FOUND in the rural area..TOILET which China calls WC aka water closet !
Pipe water aka tap
Toilet-ler
We reached our destination at about 6.30pm where we proceed to have dinner at the hotel. As Chengde was a hunting ground for the emperor last time - they prepared venison or deer meat for us to makan- konon-nya their speciality. Anyway, we hentam also la and thereafter checked into our hotel for that day - QianYang Hotel
Part 3 - DAY 5-7 ~~ to be continued
