Staycation 2012

With dad's birthday celebrated in Nov, we continued with our year end activities with our annual staycation - well just the 3 of us enjoying each other's company !

Normally, we would go for either a beach or a city hotel for a day & since Matt loves the beach -we decided to book ourselves to Hydro hotel at Batu Feringghi :). It is definitely not as nice compared to the rest of the 4 star beach hotels in Penang but it is quite a decent one for us to stay.

Started our journey at 12 pm and stopped by at Delicious for lunch. We had our favorite basil pesto with grilled chicken and Matt had his share of a banana pie. Not really a frequent visitor to Delicious so in a way, not too familiar with the food there- hehehe :) . 'Lepak' around till it is time to check in and up we go ! Checked in and had a few hr rest before we took Matt for swimming. Hmm, I guess he still can't differentiate our apartment's pool with the one at the hotel - it looks the same to him !!

Done with swimming, we washed up and proceed for dinner at The Ship. Well, it has been a while since we visited the place so we thought that it would be a good treat for Matt. Unfortunately, he wasn't that excited as we thought he would be - in fact, he was more amazed with the interior of the restaurant rather than the whole ship ! 

We had chicken chop and I must say, it tasted so-so only. Perhaps, nowadays we are more spoilt with choices all over and with this, the comparison starts ~~ hahaha !! Anyway, after dinner , we met up with Darryl (Matt's cousin) and we took him for dessert before we called it a day.

Woke up for breakfast the next day before we proceed to check out. Since we are in the town area, mummy took the opportunity to go 'kai-kai' kat Gurney and 'makan' lunch. As it has been a tiring day for Matt, after shopping for about an hr or so, we proceed back home where Matt dozed off within seconds !

Glad that Matt had enjoyed his trip to the beach and we shall conquer the strawberry land ~Cameron by middle of this yr ! Say Yay !!
