I bought a set of pyjamas for dad (which cost me RM80) and goodness, I only managed to find it at S.Square after searching high and low in QB and Gurney. Poor dad, he has not had a decent set of pyjamas since 'dinosaur yrs' - he ! he ! so, I guess this would be a good treat for him ! A little story about my dad-----Dad has always been trifty when it comes to $$$ ; You see, he was brought up in a strict yet conservative family & during those days - all the 'ee-ma-ku-cheh, Ah Kong and Ah Mah stay together in one BIG house. They were into rubber tapping and poultry. My dad used to tell me that he will wake up early in the morning(5am) to attend to rubber trees & thereafter to school - not like the 3rd generation of The Chins' - they will sleep till the sun shines brightly on their buttock ! Hmm, perhaps dad's previous habit explains a bit on him waking up at 6am daily .

E'nuff said about my dad- let us explore the 2nd generation of The Chins. So, dad met mum, they fell in love and soon, they got married after a few yrs of 'pak-tor' . Wonderful, lovely couple - I should say. Dad is pretty loving - just that he does not say it out ! Shy guy !! I should get my hubby to teach him some 'tricks'. Alright, back to the story - So, they got married and eventually, 3 of us popped out - with each of us being separated yrs apart. Eldest 'koko', 2nd ' koko' and then ME !! We are the 2nd generations of The Chins. Of course, plus additions from my uncles and aunties - my cousins...
We had our fun moments filled with laughter & sad moments filled with sorrows and overcome with faith and courage. 3 of us passed thru the stages in life and look at us now, we have contributed to the 3rd generation of the Chins. Elder 'koko' is married with 1 kid, Second 'koko' is with 2 kids and ME - with one little cute son -The only GEM in the family -heheheh !! Again, plus other nephews and nieces from the Chin family.

Dad's birthday was celebrated with a simple dinner plus cake cutting. I believe that big celebrations is not necessary cos for my dad, simply looking at his family growing bigger and bigger with his lovable grandkids is definitely the best gift that he has ever had. It is his pride and joy that he should enjoy after yrs of sacrifice and hardship in bringing us up.
Well.....Wishing my Dad good health & happiness with more to come. Have a joyful 66th birthday !!!
