Journal Entry 145
It has been quite a while since I last blog about my hamsters. The first fews didn't make it as we got a pair of the same sex. We didn't know that the male hamsters were so territorial and after much fighting- only the fittest male survived. Also, another blunder was Miss Chin mistakenly left the cage door opened for two days :( and there goes the hamsters - Freedom !!
As we still have the cage, the hubby and I decided to get a another new pair - this time a male and female. Breeding came and go but too bad, the lil ones didn't survive :(. That was a few months back and now the said two hamsters had grown fatter, bigger and extremely active - non stop eating ! Matt is in fact pretty fond of them and we do let him feed the hamsters occassionaly. A taste of owning a pet :)
Definitely ,hamsters are wonderful pets to be kept if you want to avoid the hassle of major cleanup :). Low cost and minimal maintenance !
