Weekend Trials : Pancakes

Journal Entry 149

Pancakes had always been a kid's favorite. Not only is it easy to make, it is simply delicious and can be served both as breakfast as well as snacks for supper. This thin, flat cake made primarily from batter and lots of butter is a must have dish in every household. Yummy Yummy !! :).

Matt's first taste of the cake was at MIL's place and he had loved it to bits since then. Each time he reaches my in law's place, he will shout for ~ 'Mama Juju - I want pancake please !! He will then proceed to the fridge, take 2 eggs from there and then passed it on to his grandma. Cute and adorable to the max !

Of course, his dear mother will also need to learn to make it and Matt prefers it thin and silky. Basically, the main ingredients contains plain flour, eggs and milk. Of course, a pinch of salt, some sugar and lots of melted butter does help with the taste - Matt is a sucker for sweet stuffs and loves butter ! With some help from  Annabel Karmel's pancake recipe, all was prepared within minutes. As Matt had been obedient and had since completed his ABC's , I rewarded him with some pancakes in the shape of stars  for his good behaviour !
