As always, we threw a small birthday party for Matt with family & friends on one of the weekends. Initially, the plan was to book a place to celebrate his birthday but nay ~ the idea was abandoned after much discussion with the hubby :) . This time, as my aunt was around - we decided to have it at my mum's place. In fact, there was this urge in me to try out some DIY decors for Matt's party but with my 'si-malas' syndrome, I end up buying a Chuggington birthday banner/bunting from the local Toy's R Us shop !! Well, win win for both mummy and the shop :):)

Done with decor. Now, food preparation. My mum and I prepared the dishes for the day (kerabu bihun, spaghetti, 'otak-otak', pumpkin soup and sandwiches) and my aunt made 'or kuih' (yam cake) for us. Thanks 3-kim !! Started the party at 7pm and halfway thru, the whole house was full of kid's shouting and laughters. Havoc :):) but it was fun ! After all, it was a kids party too.

It was a nice get together with the family and the important part is Matt enjoyed himself. He requested for a red angry bird cake this year again - and yep, mummy fulfilled his wish by getting the red bird for him - Teehee ^_^
On another note, as Matt's real birthday falls on a Tuesday, we decided to get his favourite pretzels from Aunt Anne's - sour cream (he loves it to bits !!) with a slice of cake for the day. Mum made some red eggs too :) - a must have Chinese tradition for little boys like him :):). Say cheese !!
Guess what - all his birthday wish came true - more pressies - Hot Wheels & a blue Light saber !!
